HostPapa Coupon FAQs » How To Order & Save

Does HostPapa offer a free trial?

Unfortunately, HostPapa does not offer a free trial for any of its hosting or add-on services. If you’re worried about making the investment, however, the company does offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. The risk-free hosting policy enables customers to get all of their money back if they cancel their plan within the first month. Domain registration fees, however, will not be reimbursed.

What types of payment does HostPapa accept?

HostPapa allows different payment methods for every region in which services are available. The areas where HostPapa does business are: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

MasterCard and Visa credit cards are accepted in all regions where HostPapa plans can be purchased, and customers can pay with American Express in the US and Canada. PayPal is a valid form of payment for customers in all but India, but HostPapa warns that the service’s eCheck feature can take two weeks to process. Customers in India can also pay with Maestro and Delta, and Maestro and Solo are acceptable forms of payment for site owners in the UK.

Unfortunately, HostPapa does not accept personal or certified checks, money orders, or payments made through Western Union.

Can I pay using PayPal?

As long as you’re not located in India, you should be able to pay for your hosting services with PayPal. In fact, HostPapa recommends going through PayPal if you are having trouble processing your order with a credit card.

Which HostPapa hosting plan should I choose?

Well, you have plenty of options from which to choose. You’ll, of course, want to select the plan that most closely matches the performance, storage, and usability needs you require. For most, that probably means signing up for one of HostPapa’s shared hosting packages. All three options come with a free domain registration and unlimited bandwidth, along with 400-plus one-click software installations through Softaculous, access to HostPapa’s drag-and-drop website builder, an SSL certificate, and faster page loads through Cloudflare’s content delivery network.

For those businesses, bloggers, or developers looking for a little more hosting oomph, take a look at HostPapa’s VPS plans. Customers can enjoy fine-grain control over their virtual private servers with full root access and instant provisioning.

What billing plans does HostPapa offer?

Even though HostPapa advertises its hosting prices on a per-month basis, customers must sign up for at least a one-year term. Those who are confident in choosing HostPapa, or simply looking for the best deals, will be best served by committing to three years of web hosting. Alternatively, new customers can sign up for a two-year term.

How does domain pricing work?

All HostPapa shared hosting plans include the cost of a free domain registration. Otherwise, the most popular domain extensions cost around $10 per year, which is pretty typical for the web hosting industry.

What is domain privacy and is it included in HostPapa’s domain hosting services?

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, or ICANN, requires that domain owners supply their name, mailing address, email, and phone number to a public database. Although the regulations encourage transparency, the WHOIS database exposes site owners’ personal information to potential spammers, marketers, and attackers.

In response to customers’ concerns, HostPapa and several other providers offer an add-on service called domain privacy that reduces the amount of spam and unwanted solicitations a domain owner may receive. With domain privacy, the site registrar’s information is associated with the account in the WHOIS database instead of the customer’s. HostPapa charges about $10 per year for this service.

What is an uptime guarantee and does HostPapa offer one?

Uptime guarantees refer to how much time in a given period a hosting provider promises that your website — and the infrastructure behind it — will be functioning properly and connected to the internet. Downtime means your site is inaccessible to visitors, and this can happen for a variety of reasons. If your site’s uptime doesn’t meet the threshold the company guarantees, hosting providers will refund a portion of customers’ hosting fees.

Most hosts use uptime guarantees to tout their services’ reliability and availability, which is especially important to those looking to create a business website or online storefront. More uptime means more chances to interact with customers and make sales.

HostPapa offers the industry-standard 99.9% uptime guarantee, which means your site might be unavailable for up to roughly 10 minutes per week. The vast majority of customers will be completely happy with that rate, and we trust HostPapa to overdeliver on that guarantee.

Do I need a promo code to get discounted pricing on HostPapa plans?

Luckily for our loyal readers, we’ve gone ahead and negotiated the best deals imaginable for HostPapa services. Feel free to skip the promo code by clicking on one of the coupon deals above to lock in the best pricing available.

Does HostPapa offer a money-back guarantee?

Holding its employees and infrastructure to high standards, HostPapa guarantees 100% customer satisfaction. Unhappy site owners can request and receive a prorated refund at any time, but HostPapa’s 30-day money-back guarantee means that a customer’s entire hosting fees will be reimbursed if the services are canceled within the first month after signup. However, any fees for setup or add-on services, as well as domain registrations and transfers, will be deducted from the refund.
