KeepSolid’s VPN Unlimited Delivers a Private and Secure Internet Connection via Servers on Six Continents

Vpn Unlimited Delivers Private And Secure Connections

TL; DR: VPN Unlimited is a virtual private network software suite developed by NYC-based KeepSolid Inc. The company’s goal is to provide users with powerful security and privacy on both mobile and desktop via a feature-rich VPN. With ongoing developments from an attentive, quality-focused team and a series of new releases in the pipeline, KeepSolid aims to make VPN Unlimited the ultimate tool for liberating the internet for years to come.

In 2008, President George W. Bush supercharged the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) of 1978 with the FISA Amendments Act of 2008. The legislation, which allows for warrantless wiretapping of phone and internet use by non-Americans outside the United States, was intended to curb espionage and international terrorism.

Five years later, in 2013, leaks by former CIA contractor Edward Snowden exposed top-secret NSA information about mass surveillance practices in the U.S. At that point, the FISA Amendments Act of 2008, cited as the legal basis for these actions, came under fire for abuse of power.

In turn, internet users worldwide began to look for ways to preserve their online freedom.

VPN Unlimited, developed by KeepSolid Inc., is on a mission to help liberate the internet for users worldwide.

“After the scandals with Snowden and the extension of the FISA act, users began to encrypt and hide their data much more actively,” said Vasyl Ivanov, CEO at KeepSolid. “This has had a positive impact on the popularity of VPN products.”

KeepSolid’s solution, VPN Unlimited, was designed to provide internet users with unrestricted access to information while securing their privacy to the full extent.

The software combines top-tier encryption with tunneling protocols to secure both traffic and personal information, such as location. The company has also adopted a no-log policy to further safeguard client data.

With ongoing developments, 24/7 support from a professional team, and a series of new releases in the pipeline, KeepSolid is dedicated to liberating the internet for years to come — whether that means protecting privacy or tearing down walls of censorship.

“If data belongs to a single person, he or she should be able to defend their privacy, and we will do our best to aid them with that,” the VPN Unlimited website states. “By extension, if specific information concerns a group of people, every member of this group should have access to it.”

Providing Robust Internet Security and Privacy in a Competitive Market

When Vasyl and Co-Founder Oleg Bocharnikov launched VPN Unlimited in 2013, the market was far less crowded.

“At that time, a popular monetization model among VPNs was the traffic fee and capped speed for free versions,” Vasyl said. “We were one of the first to begin to change this trend. The unlimited part of the name was meant to indicate that we do not limit neither speed nor traffic, and the subscription only concerns how long you can use our VPN after the trial period.”

VPN Unlimited was one of KeepSolid’s first products. When it hit the market, the company had just two servers (one each in Los Angeles and the Netherlands), one application for the iPhone, and five employees. Today, KeepSolid boasts more than 400 high-speed servers in more than 80 locations worldwide. All servers ensure comprehensive security, fast connections, and access to popular content across the globe.

The company recently released DNS Firewall as a feature in VPN Unlimited.

Vasyl told us that increased internet access across the globe and the development of online customer service systems by banks and other organizations have caused a spike in fraud and other malicious activity.

“When the demand for VPNs began to grow, large investors entered the competition,” he said. “Some of our rivals began to raise hundreds of millions of dollars, which significantly boosted their technical and marketing capabilities. We decided not to play this game and continued to develop on our own. This approach is more interesting and challenging, and you have a better understanding of what you have achieved.”

A Feature-Rich VPN Focused on Optimization

Vasyl said dishonest players have emerged as the market has evolved. “There are companies who try to sink those higher in the rating with fake negative reviews,” he said. “The App Store team is certainly trying to improve its algorithms for identifying such actions, but so far, we often see honest 5-star reviews removed and 1-star copy and pasted reviews left intact.”

In this saturated and sometimes unfair environment, KeepSolid has no choice but to differentiate itself through rich features, including military-grade encryption, 24/7 email and live chat support, and unlimited traffic and connection speeds.

“We examine user demand for our products by conducting A/B tests,” Vasyl said. “Many experiments fail, but there are also successful ones that allow us to increase the number of sales and attract more users. It’s funny when we’re just setting up an experiment, and then a week later, one of the competitors copies it. For example, when we released the five-year subscription plan, it turned out to be very unsuccessful, but was still copied from us before we decided to disable it.”

One of Vasyl’s favorite features is the Optimal Server, which lets the application choose the best server location considering the user’s current conditions.

VPN Unlimited works across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

“This feature takes into account the distance from a user to the nearest servers, the server load, and dozens of other parameters,” he said. “This is very convenient. You do not need to scroll through a large list of VPN servers in search of a suitable one — the application handles it, wherever you are.”

This year, KeepSolid also launched the Optimal Protocol feature. “Based on our data on countries and network settings, this feature finds an optimal VPN protocol for the user,” Vasyl said. “We support IKEv2, OpenVPN, Wireguard, and KeepSolid Wise protocols).”

Because KeepSolid must act within the confines of its Privacy Policy, the company is limited in data it can use for such calculations.

“Only anonymous data is available,” Vasyl said. “So, I am proud of our team, who are able to implement such fantastic solutions under limited conditions.”

Ongoing Developments from an Attentive, Quality-Focused Team

KeepSolid takes pride in the sheer number of people the company has helped via powerful security and privacy tools available on both mobile and desktop.

“The current events in the global information space make people anxious, causing them to become less effective and experience many negative emotions,” Vasyl said. “We develop our products with the idea that our user must be, and feel, protected. This gives our customers peace of mind.”

As KeepSolid is updating its VPN, adding features, and putting new ideas into production, much of the process and discussions are based around adapting to the latest threats and listening to customer feedback to ensure superior service.

“One of our advantages is our customer support,” Vasyl said. “This team works 24/7 to quickly help our customers resolve their issues. Therefore, the wishes of our customers are our top priority. In addition, our technical team monitors everything that happens in the market so we can respond in a timely manner.”

Vasyl attributes much of the company’s success to a strong corporate culture. KeepSolid employees tend to have in-depth knowledge of the company’s offerings, take conscious but responsible risk, and overcome obstacles through perseverance. They also strive for high quality, effective communication, internal respect, and ongoing training.

“There was a stage in our history when everything went not according to plan,” Vasyl said. “Simple management measures yielded no result. Then we took up fundamental knowledge. We defined our corporate culture, and for the next two years, we spread it among our employees. Now, our team consists of excellent specialists in technology, marketing, sales, management, design, etc.”

New Releases: DNS Firewall and Upcoming Revelations

Vasyl said KeepSolid employees look positively toward the future of the company but never distract themselves from the present.

As far as what’s next, the company recently released DNS Firewall as a feature in VPN Unlimited.

“In the next three months, we’re planning to surprise our users several more times,” Vasyl said. “I can’t tell you the details yet, but I can say that we will release a few more products.
