“Backups alone fall short when downtime strikes, recovery can drag on for hours or even days, and manual intervention adds costly delays,” said Wallace.
“Businesses need more than backups; they require rapid, automated failover and complete data protection without gaps.”
Those gaps are not an exaggeration. More than 60% of outages now cost businesses more than $100,000, and 16% exceed $1 million in damages.
Those numbers are up 39% from 2019 — most likely driven by complex IT environments, cyberattacks, and the growing cost of downtime per minute.
