The Winners
Best for Reseller Hosting: InMotion Hosting
InMotion Hosting was chosen as the Best for Reseller Hosting by the masses. It’s one of the few mid-market providers that offers both managed reseller services with plenty of flexibility and freedom.
Its white-label cPanel, NVMe storage, and Web Host Manager setup makes it practically effortless to build a branded hosting business. And that, of course, is the core of reselling.
But it’s the dedicated IPs that are a major draw. Not every provider offers this: InMotion gives each client account its own internet address, a basic yet vital web stamp of approval.

Developers get full root/SSH access, their choice of OS, staging environments, autoscaling resources, and Acronis disaster recovery. Its hosting stack also comes with APIs, Terraform for IaC, and a WHMCS plugin so deployment and infrastructure-as-a-code workflows are easy as pie.

Best for eCommerce: GoDaddy
Very few brands have grown up alongside the internet quite like GoDaddy. For 25 years, the company has been the backbone that has helped small businesses build and sell online. But even with SMBs at the forefront, developers are far from being left out.
Through its Developer Portal, GoDaddy offers APIs for everything from domain setup to anything you need to manage eCommerce. The Website Builder API even lets devs place its drag-and-drop builder directly into their own ecosystems.
Depending on the plan, GoDaddy can also handle plugin updates, backups, and security checks in bulk. That’s a major relief for agencies who manage several clients at once.

Most Trusted Provider: hosting.com
Known as A2 Hosting before its World Host Group acquisition, hosting.com has become one of the most familiar names in developer circles.
