Brizy Builder was released in April 2018, but the team behind the website-builder plugin has more than a decade of experience creating web-based projects.

The group is best known for founding ThemeFuse, a source of premium WordPress themes, as well as the open-source WordPress framework Unyson and the designer UI tool package PixelKit. The company retired Themefuse almost two years ago and is now 100% focused on Brizy.

Dimi said that Brizy has been far ahead of market demand until recently. “In 2020, we grew 150% year-over-year,” he told us. “We are expecting similar results this year, or at least close.”

“We are currently adding the fine touches, bringing everything to 100%,” Dimi said. “When we first started development on Brizy, we focused on providing speed. After that, we had a chance to go back and address some of the finer details.”

The company now offers free and PRO editions of Brizy Builder. While the free plan provides ample features, Brizy PRO introduces an entire catalog of functionality around marketing tools and dynamic content creation.

“We offer tools for the whole market; for example, we have a lot of clients that create websites for themselves but also freelancer and marketing agencies that work with clients,” Dimi said. “And we have a plan dedicated to those users — Brizy PRO.”

On the marketing side, Brizy PRO provides integrations with several must-have applications, including Mailchimp, Sendinblue, Campaign Monitor, Hubspot, and Zapier. The premium edition also offers agencies white-labeling options that allow them to add logos and branding elements.

The company first introduced Brizy Cloud, its hosting platform, in July 2020. The solution aims to provide a more streamlined site-building and hosting experience for users looking to bring landing pages and multi-page websites to life.

Anyone with a Brizy account can get started with Brizy Cloud via four free options: a prepurchased custom domain, a brizy.site subdomain, real-time server syncing, or self-hosting through an HTML export.

Brizy Cloud hosting also comes with a free Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate, ensuring data transferred from the site to the user is secure while boosting SEO. Users that upgrade to the Premium version of Brizy Cloud gain instant access to the extra features of Brizy Builder Pro.

“We recommend Brizy Cloud over WordPress for faster loading speeds, low latency, and improved security,” Dimi said.

In addition to hosting a site on Brizy Cloud, the Brizy team allows users to leverage free third-party hosting for more flexibility. Few competitors offer such an option.

“We don’t lock you in, and we give you lots of choices,” Dimi said. “For some websites you create, you might want to use WordPress, and that’s fine. But if you don’t want to bother with hosting and plugin updates, we manage everything. We also provide security certificates, a content delivery network (CDN), and one custom domain at no charge.”

The Brizy team recently introduced several new features, including free membership functionality. These features allow users to lock website content and display blocks based on user roles when site building.

“This new functionality is excellent for creating courses in a learning management system or limit access to certain parts of your content depending on if the user paid or not,” Dimi said. “Next period, we’ll turn our focus to improving our WooCommerce builder.”

Looking forward, the team envisions Brizy Cloud becoming a full-fledged cloud CMS. To that end, the company recently introduced blogging functionality to the platform, which will serve as a foundation for what’s to come.

“We’ll continue to build on that with advanced custom fields (ACF), additional dynamic elements, and a custom posts builder,” Dimi said.
