TL; DR: Wix is once again revolutionizing brand-building tools with its new AI integration in the Mobile App Builder. This AI tool saves you time by taking your brand’s intent, audience, and eCommerce goals and creating a fully customizable app. You can easily add features like booking sessions and promotions right from your main dashboard. We spoke with Noa Eiland, Head of Mobile Apps, who explained how this AI tool simplifies mobile app building for growing professionals and businesses.

I will be the first to admit that I always download the accompanying app for stores where I regularly shop.

Take a peek at my phone, and you’ll find apps for Target, Chewy, Abercrombie, and many more. These apps make it easier to browse or track my orders, and admittedly, I love that they provide personalized recommendations and exclusive deals.

(I always joke that I’m the perfect target consumer since any push notification sale will capture my attention.)

But apparently, I’m not alone: Average order values are 10% higher on mobile apps and mobile commerce apps see a 48% lower cart abandonment rate than on a desktop. Users also tend to view 4.2 times more products per session on mobile apps than on mobile browsers.

No-coders rejoice: Build your business’s accompanying mobile app with Wix’s easy-to-use branded app builder.

As more small businesses and brands build apps to improve customer service and boost branding efforts, Wix is taking the wheel with its newest product, a no-code, AI-backed Mobile App Builder.

Noa Eiland, Head of Mobile Apps, told us how Wix aims to help small businesses take the next step in securing their brand and meeting more customer needs with its in-house AI app builder.

More Cutting-Edge Solutions from Wix

Wix is still on a hot streak as the leading SaaS website builder.

Following its recent release of Wix Proposals, an all-in-one financial proposal solution for businesses, and Wix Donations, a way to build websites with a fundraising focus, Wix has released its newest product, a native Mobile App Builder using AI.

With the introduction of AI chat functionality, users can now describe their app’s purpose and objectives.

“We’re thrilled to expand our suite of AI tools to mobile with the launch of AI to our native mobile app builder,” said Noa.

I used Wix’s AI assistant to create this mobile app. I can customize the elements, pages, and overall design.

There’s a significant benefit to building native apps versus mobile web apps: Native apps are designed for a specific platform, like iOS or Android. Users must install the app from the respective app stores, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Native apps can also access the system’s resources, such as GPS and camera capabilities, to provide customized functionality. And because they run directly on the device, native apps offer faster performance than web-based apps, which instead operate within a browser (such as docs.google.com).

When you create a mobile app with Wix, you get the same benefits you would if you had built the app from coding — but with a little extra.

Wix gives you complete ownership of your app, handles automatic updates, and is constantly exploring and introducing new features and tools. With Wix, both you and your customers will enjoy a seamless native mobile app experience while you effortlessly manage your business.

AI Meets Native Mobile App Building

Making apps is now easier than ever; you don’t need coding skills because you can tell the Mobile App Builder AI what you want, and it does the rest.

“Users can now create a custom native mobile app using the AI chat experience by simply describing their goals and visions, and AI does the work,” said Noa.

This couldn’t have come at a better time: More than 65% of app development activity is now no-code, and it’s predicted that 70% of new business apps will use this technology by 2025, too.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Add relevant information, such as your brand-name, target audience, and goals, with the app (selling products and increasing brand awareness, for example).
  2. Using the intuitive app builder, fully customize the design with the look and feel you want. Customize the font, layout, colors, and features, such as bookings, galleries, and more.
  3. When finished, use the automatic App Store submission tool to publish on Google Play and the App Store.

Remember that your app is subject to approval based on app store requirements. The Apple App Store also charges an annual registration fee (from $99 per year), and Google Play charges a one-time fee ($25).

After submission, it undergoes review based on the app store’s guidelines. Upon approval, it goes live automatically. Once live, any updates on your website are mirrored in the app in real time through the same dashboard.

Boosting Brand Visibility and Customer Reach

One important benefit is that the AI Mobile App Builder can be used for just about any business. A dedicated native app can increase your brand awareness and customer base in a range of verticals from eCommerce stores to service-based companies and event management.

Noa said Wix aims to help business owners improve their brand awareness and customer experiences. You, too, can effortlessly deliver a robust mobile experience for your customers so they can shop on the go and make bookings through your app.

Plus, keep your customers updated with timely notifications and updates so they can stay informed about promotions, new products, or anything else. If your customers have a question, they can send a quick message through the app for live chat support.

The AI chat feature is available within the Branded App Plan, which starts at $99 per month. Try it today.
