Data center provider Colocation America announced the appointment of its new CEO, Samantha Walters, on May 1.

Colocation America specializes in colocation, dedicated servers, and cloud hosting solutions, and currently operates more than 22 data centers across the U.S.

Her appointment comes at a great time: Driven by edge computing and AI workloads, the demand for reliable U.S.-based data center infrastructure is booming.

“I’m honored to step into this role and excited to lead a team that’s as committed to performance and progress as it is to purpose,” said Walters.

As CEO, Walters’ plan is to focus on expanding the company throughout the U.S., improving its suite of services, and prioritizing sustainability.

A Deeper Partnership

Walters joins Colocation America with more than a decade of information and communications technology (ICT) expertise.

In 2009, she founded a consulting firm called Textbook Balanced, which focused on strategic digital marketing for socially-conscious organizations, like nonprofits.

While leading Textbook Balanced, Walters consulted with Colocation America from 2011 through 2025 and helped shape the company’s brand and communications strategy.

Walters said working with Colocation America as a consultant first gave her a “front-row seat to the company’s culture, capabilities, and potential.”

“It became clear that this was an organization positioned for meaningful growth and innovation,” she said.

According to the company, that long-standing collaboration “laid the foundation for deeper partnership,” ultimately leading to her recruitment as CEO.
