A2 Hosting announced on April 27 that it has officially rebranded to hosting.com, following the company’s acquisition by World Host Group (WHG), bringing more resources and a global reach.

Throughout the official blog post, the excitement for the rebrand is palpable, with chief evangelist Cory Miller describing it as “the best is yet to come” and “a defining moment in our growth.”

Seb de Lemos, hosting.com’s CEO, also shared the news on YouTube about the rebrand and the improvements it would bring.

“We’ve worked on this for quite a long time now: Lots of people behind the scenes have been working on how we can best serve you, improve your experience, and enhance our customer support,” he said.

Along with the rebrand, hosting.com plans to roll out several new features, including:

“We really are here to do the best things we can do with this brand, to take it to the next level and serve you better,” said de Lemos.

The Acquisition That Propelled A2 Hosting

This move comes just months after the acquisition of A2 Hosting by WHG in January, which has a portfolio of more than 25 brands and a fast-expanding international presence.

Hosting.com described it as “bringing the best of WHG and A2 Hosting together into one global brand,” with the goal of addressing the growing challenges faced by digital agencies.

A2 Hosting was acquired by WHG in January and rebranded as hosting.com in April.

“The global hosting industry—especially for digital agencies—has struggled with a widespread erosion of trust due to surprise charges, aggressive sales tactics, poor support, and overall declines in service quality,” the press release read.

Bryan Muthig, hosting.com’s founder and CEO, described the acquisition as an avenue that aligns with A2 Hosting’s future goals.

“We realized that in order to grow as a company, we needed to partner with an organization that has the size, scale, and resources that we couldn’t achieve independently,” he said.

Together, hosting.com customers will get access to WHG’s resources, including:

Hosting.com Is a TLD Win

The hosting.com name is a big win — and they know it, acknowledging that the domain holds “a certain weight and inherent recognizability, opening doors across diverse markets.”

Experts have long stressed the growing importance of TLDs. In short, they help brands carve out their identities online and connect more meaningfully with their audiences.

And a catchy and straightforward name like hosting.com is sure to grab the attention of anyone searching for a web host.

While the name has changed, Miller is adamant that the company’s core values won’t change.

He wrote: “The heart of A2 Hosting, our commitment to reliability, speed, and customer satisfaction, continues to beat strong within hosting.com.”
